extravagance of the aristocratic Acadians down to the antique period furnishings
of the main dining room. The restaurant, whose Creole bronzed shrimp was
featured in Gourmet magazine, has received many prestigious accolades
– including gold medals at the Acadiana Culinary Classic. Café
Vermilionville roasts, grills, steams, and bakes some of the most authentic
Louisiana cuisines in the area. It is located at the corner of South College

of Florida and under the direction of great Jamaican and Cuban chefs,
his heart lies in the cuisine he studied at the famous Broussard's
in New Orleans. This eclectic training makes the menu, filled with favorites
from New Orleans, more diversified and refreshingly unique. The elegant
bar caters to the connoisseur of fine cigars, and even goes so far as
recommending specific meals to accompany specific tobacco products. Visitors

in this fun and casual atmosphere. Acadian relics line the walls, and
“Big Al” – a 14-foot alligator – guards the culinary
medals in the middle of this traditional French Cajun eatery's dining
room. Live Cajun music plays nightly as visitors face the epicurean dilemma
of choosing from the extensive and eclectic menu. The sinful desserts,
including traditional Southern pecan pie, melt in the mouths of delighted

Prejean's on the Interstate 49 service road and adjacent to Evangeline
Downs Racetrack in north Lafayette.

Restaurant, home to Cajun Fest, offers a high-energy environment for dining
and dancing. Zydeco and Cajun music reverberate from the walls as colorful
locals welcome visitors to this popular eatery and its well-worn dance
floor. Some of the regions finest musicians choose Randol's as their
preferred venue because of its vital Cajun spirit. Although the restaurant's
menu consists of delicious French Cajun favorites served with a local
flair, it is the ambiance – and not the food – that really
makes this eatery come alive. Visitor's can find Randol's
convenient location on Kaliste Saloom Road, one mile northeast of the
